About The Position

As a General Maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the general condition of the property with regards to all aspects of basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical work. The Engineer will respond to all guest calls and assigned work tickets in a timely manner. They will also be responsible for following the preventive maintenance programs for both guest rooms and mechanical equipment. Engineers will be expected to engage with guests when answering room calls as well as around property in a welcoming and hospitable manner.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience preferably in hotels or residential maintenance
• Working knowledge/experience of plumbing and electrical trades
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling and disposal procedures
• Knowledge of proper use of power and hand tools including snakes
• Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal communications
• Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.
• Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Results-oriented with a focus on service excellence.
