Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have verifiable work experience in hotel (or similar industry) maintenance including preventive maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting and kitchen repair.
  • Technical schooling or four years of related work experience, in the above trades, required and must be verifiable.
  • Valid driver’s license required; ability to be certified and operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other similar equipment.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated; able to work alone as required; work with minimal supervision.
  • By end of the probationary period, employee must be able to achieve established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting maintenance and preventive maintenance of plumbing, electrical (up to 480 volts), HVAC, carpentry, painting
  • Pool equipment repairs and projects; performing kitchen equipment installation and repairs
  • Carrying out Convention Center exhibitor requests (electrical, banner hanging, etc.)
  • Recycling duties & grounds clean up
  • Following all established safety/energy conservation procedures
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and demeanor
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor
