About The Position

This role involves inspecting and maintaining manufacturing machinery and equipment. The technician will interpret schematics, troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems, and perform corrective and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities include preparing new machines for operation, repairing or replacing broken parts, and performing welding, grinding, and flame cutting. The position requires working as part of a team, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and complying with company procedures. Other duties may be assigned by supervision.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years experience as an industrial maintenance technician/machine repairman or associated work
Strong verbal and oral communication skills
Ability to read blueprints/design schematics
Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
Working knowledge of mechanical systems
Ability to work any shift and overtime as required

Responsibilities

Inspect and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment
Interpret schematics, prints, diagrams, and oral instructions
Troubleshoot and identify hazards and diagnose malfunctioning systems
Perform corrective, preventive maintenance & calibrations
Prepare new machines and production equipment for operation
Disassemble machines and repair or replace broken parts
Perform welding, grinding, and flame cutting activities
Work as part of a team and contribute to the maintenance team and facility in general
Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand / power tools and precision-measuring instruments
Operation of tool room equipment (lathe, mill, drill presses, etc.)
Maintain safe and clean working environment
Comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations
All other duties as assigned by Supervision
