About The Position
Under the direction of the Tool & Die Supervisor, the general machinist runs manual machines. They produce and repair support equipment for production, and to maintain highest level of efficiencies and compliance with customer specifications.

Responsibilities
- Oversee machine conditioning troubleshooting.
- Inspect manufactured parts for conformance to specifications.
- Setting up and operating conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to assist in the manufacture of injection molds and related fixtures.
- Verifying conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Notify supervisor of excessive defects on any particular component.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and basic math skills.
- Receive training to run any and all equipment.
- Perform all work safely, following all safety procedures.
- Process documentation associated with rework and nonconformance manufactured products.
- Operating a manual mill or lathe.
