About The Position

Are you an experienced machinist or a mechanically inclined individual looking for an opportunity to expand your skills? Do you enjoy working with a variety of machines and taking on new challenges? We're looking for a General Machinist who is eager to learn, adaptable, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. In this role, you'll serve as a versatile machining professional, supporting multiple manufacturing departments based on business needs. You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of machining operations, including CNC machining, manual lathes, grinding, milling, drilling, and other precision manufacturing processes. Product knowledge can be taught. We're looking for someone who brings a strong machining foundation, a willingness to learn, a great work ethic, and the initiative to continuously improve.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Machinist apprenticeship, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on machining experience.
  • Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a variety of machining equipment including: CNC machines, Manual lathes, Milling machines, grinders, Saws, Other precision manufacturing equipment
  • Support multiple manufacturing departments based on production priorities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Set up machines and equipment to produce precision components to specification.
  • Monitor machining operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Inspect completed parts using measuring equipment and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with additional manufacturing tasks as business needs require.
