About The Position
Our client, a respected mid-sized law firm located in the Chicago Loop, is seeking an experienced General Liability Defense Attorney to join their growing practice. Requirements
- 2-6 years of Illinois OR Indiana insurance defense experience required.
- Strong foundation in tort litigation and general liability matters.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.
- Licensed to practice in Illinois and/or Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Handle a broad range of general liability and tort litigation matters.
- Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Develop case strategy, prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Conduct legal research and provide risk assessments and recommendations to clients.
- Work closely with clients, maintaining strong communication and delivering excellent service.
- Take on opportunities for business development, including collaborating with existing casualty defense clients and developing your own portfolio.
