General Liability Attorney
About The Position
Wilson Elser is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney for their Livonia, Michigan office. This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement. The role involves independently managing a litigation caseload from inception to resolution, including complex and high exposure cases. The attorney will collaborate with other attorneys and Partners, handle court appearances and depositions, communicate proactively with clients, and contribute to legal strategy and case development with a focus on client goals and outcomes. Requirements
- JD from an accredited Law School
- Admitted to practice in the state of Michigan
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in general liability, including premises liability, trucking and transportation.
- Superior communication skills (both written and oral) to effectively advocate for clients and present arguments.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with legal project management is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end, including complex and high exposure cases, from inception to resolution.
- Collaborate closely with other attorneys and Partners on complex legal matters.
- Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
- Communicate proactively with clients, keeping them informed with regular status updates.
- Contribute to legal strategy and case development with a focus on client goals and outcomes.
