Latitude Corp. is seeking a General Lead to join our 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED team. This is a full-time position with a shift from Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Requirements

  • Capable of lifting 40 lbs. safely or with assistance.
  • Capability of standing and bending over for long periods of time while performing manual labor with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Full-time availability.
  • Willingness to work overtime as requested.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Positive teamwork and safety attitude.
  • Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and trouble shoot.
  • Ability to assess operational requirements and to plan and organize work flow patterns and schedules.
  • Good leadership qualities.
  • Ability to be a role model for the department and set the standard of safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Broad knowledge to perform routine and preventative maintenance and upkeep of equipment and instruments used.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and explain job travelers.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • 3-5 years' experience preferred.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Production Supervisor with fabrication, coatings, and welding processes.
  • Requisitioning department supplies.
  • Producing parts and products in accordance with established safety, quality, and cost standards.
  • Supervising and monitoring department employees, including training, work allocation, and problem resolution.
  • Operating a company forklift if trained.
  • Producing quality workmanship that meets or exceeds requirements.
  • Ensuring all department employees work safely and hazardous conditions are eliminated.
  • Following safety procedures.
  • Ensuring the highest quality standards are met with all work done in the department.
  • Ensuring output meets required deadlines.
  • Ensuring ISO and AS quality system and safety procedures are followed within the department.
  • Ensuring cross-departmental communication is accurate and effective.
  • Implementing and maintaining inventory control systems and procedures.
  • Overseeing shipping and receiving of shop supplies and materials.
  • Ensuring all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Accurately maintaining the MES system as instructed.
  • Administering CPR or First Aid as required when trained.
  • Leading the department in the absence of the Supervisor or Foreman.
  • Maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work environment.
  • Arriving to work punctually and being willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Assisting in the monthly inventory process.
  • Performing other ad hoc duties as assigned.
