About The Position
Manning Lumber is currently recruiting for a General Labourer position. This role involves working in a variety of areas within a sawmill environment, handling materials, operating production equipment, and assisting with routine maintenance and cleaning. The position requires strict adherence to safety standards and practices, including Lock-out and Pre-task hazard assessments. The role also involves repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
Requirements
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Availability to perform day and night shifts as needed
- Good physical condition
- Ability to work repetitive tasks
- Ability to work as a positive team member
- Strong commitment to follow all safety guidelines and protocols, wearing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and taking precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Reliable and Excellent work ethic.

- No experience required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a variety of areas, which may include sorting, stacking, and piling lumber
- Handling and lifting materials
- Operate production equipment as assigned
- Assist other processing workers
- Assist with the routine maintenance and cleaning of the sawmill equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues to the team.
- Other general labourer responsibilities
- Repetitive tasks
- Strict adherence to company safety standards and follow Safe work practices such as Lock-out, Pre-task hazard assessments, etc.
- Standing for extended periods
