About The Position

Chetwynd Forest Industries is currently recruiting for General Labourers. This role involves working in various areas of the sawmill or planer, including sorting, stacking, and piling lumber, handling materials, operating production equipment, assisting other workers, and performing routine maintenance and cleaning. The position requires strict adherence to safety standards and practices, and involves repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Work in a variety of areas, which may include sorting, stacking, and piling lumber
Handling and lifting materials
Operate production equipment as assigned
Assist other processing workers
Routine maintenance and cleaning of the sawmill or planer equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues to the team.
Other general labourer responsibilities
Repetitive tasks
Strict adherence to company safety standards and follow Safe work practices such as Lock-out, Pre-task hazard assessments, etc.
Standing for extended periods
