About The Position

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a General Labourer (Non Ferrous) with experience for their Ajax location. This role involves the general maintenance of the premises under the supervision of the Site Manager. Responsibilities include receiving, sorting, and organizing different types of ferrous metals, covering the scale and weighing in trucks using the RECY system, performing general maintenance, ensuring equipment is in good condition, providing excellent customer service, operating a forklift as required, and maintaining a safety-oriented mindset.

Requirements

• Good Computer Skills
• Experience in operating a crane
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to work as a team

Nice To Haves

• Experience in metal recycling considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material
• Do general maintenance of the premises
• Ensure the equipment in good condition
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site
• Operate the Fork lift as required
• Work with a safety oriented mindset

• Hourly pay starting at CAD25.75/hr, plus overtime after 44 hours
