About The Position

Intercity Packers Ltd. is seeking a full-time Production Worker for the Seafood Processing Division at their Richmond location. This role involves processing fish in a cool, wet, fast-paced environment and requires working under pressure with minimal supervision. The company is the largest meat/seafood distribution company in Western Canada and part of the Gordon Food Service (GFS) Canada group. Requirements

Reliable means of transportation
Comfortable working in a cold and wet environment
Ability to walk and stand for long periods
Ability to learn and be trained in new skills and concepts required for the job
Effective verbal and listening communications skills to connect with the team
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

Experience operating a forklift is an asset
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures is an asset

Responsibilities

Pin boning fish.
Lifting fish and packaging into bags/boxes.
Operating various production machines (ie. skinning machine, portioning machine).
Label boxes.
Making ice bags and boxes.
Push rolling buggies loaded with baskets of fish.
Feed fish into the machines.
Other duties as required.
