About The Position
OmniSource, a subsidiary, is seeking a General Laborer to work the night shift. This role involves sorting scrap on the picking line to upgrade materials and remove nonconforming items. The position also requires cleaning spillage from conveyors using mobile equipment and hand tools, as well as maintaining mobile and fixed equipment. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the role.
Requirements
- A clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to stand/work for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively on a regular basis.
- Must be a self-motivated team player, anxious and willing to learn new skills.
Responsibilities
- Sort scrap to upgrade & remove nonconforming items on the picking line.
- Clean any spillage from conveyors using both mobile equipment and hand tools.
- Maintain Mobile and Fixed Equipment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
