Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and follow written procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading and comprehension of the English language is required.
  • Ability to work in cold, hot or wet environment up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds up to 4 times per hour.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to bend/squat/twist up to 15 minutes per hour.
  • Ability to lift and reach shoulder height and above repetitively frequently.
  • Ability to climb steps/ladders and work at heights occasionally.
  • Ability to quickly access different areas of the plant frequently.
  • Basic math, counting, calculator and basic computer skills.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, off-shifts, holidays and OT as needed.
  • Must be able to work in other general labor positions in the plant as needed.
  • Satisfactory attendance record.
  • Must have authorization to work in the country where the role is based.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all process CP, CCP, QP, and CQP checks required for the position.
  • Follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement deviations.
  • Identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper production operation.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good housekeeping guidelines.
  • Follow safety guidelines, wear designated personal protective equipment (PPE), and meet OSHA safety requirements.
  • Perform manual labor tasks such as inspection, rework & sort operations as needed.
  • Teamwork and compliance with plant policies and procedures.
  • Utilize process excellence (PE) tools to improve plant performance and complete specific projects as directed by leaders.
  • Learn PE and Schreiber productions system (SPS) tools and support PE initiatives.
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
  • Work weekends, off-shifts, holidays and overtime as needed.
  • Work in other general labor positions in the plant as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
