About The Position

The General Laborer is essentially responsible for the presentation of the retail/wholesale yard, maintenance of that specific area of plant material and interaction with the retail/wholesale clients. The General Laborer must also successfully and professionally interact with outside vendors, Bzak Landscape and Lawn Care crews, and the site managers/assistant managers.

Requirements

• 0 – 2 years’ experience in the Garden Center/Landscape
• Proficient in both oral communication
• Willing to learn the operation of nursery equipment that is necessary to operate on a daily basis (i.e. tractor w/ loader, skid loader, nursery carts, etc.)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and able to carry 15-20 pounds repeatedly through the length of the site
• Ability to operate in a stressful and fast-paced environment
• Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks for various individuals
• High School Diploma or equivalent in progress
• U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident
