About The Position
This role involves excavating to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification. The position requires the ability to professionally communicate and may involve implementing Maintenance of Traffic, including flagman operations, which may require training and certification. The General Laborer will be willing to operate and learn to operate various hand tools and equipment to complete the scope of work, such as various manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come-along, jack hammers, drills, chipping guns, ground rod drivers, and hand lines. The role also requires working around large construction equipment, near energized electrical equipment or components, and near traffic in interstates, highways, and rural and urban conditions.
Requirements
- Able to professionally communicate.
- Willing to operate/learn to operate various hand tools and equipment to complete the scope of work (various manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come-along, jack hammers, drills, chipping guns, ground rod drivers, hand lines, etc.).
