About The Position

LRI, a Waste Connections Company, is hiring a full-time General Laborer to support operations at its 304th Street Landfill in Graham, Washington. This is a long-term, year-round opportunity at an active landfill, with potential career paths into equipment operation, environmental work, or leadership. The role involves hands-on work throughout the landfill, including walking designated areas, checking wells, monitoring site conditions, and assisting with systems that support safe and compliant operations. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and involves frequent movement over uneven, dusty, and steep terrain, as well as exposure to noise, odors, and heavy equipment activity. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional or rotating Saturdays based on business needs. Pay is $21.00 to $23.50 per hour. This position is classified as safety-sensitive. Candidates selected for an employment offer must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, including marijuana, and provide a motor vehicle report in accordance with Washington State requirements.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
At least one year of work experience.
Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including standing, walking, and performing labor tasks for a full shift and regularly lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform general labor duties across the landfill site.
Walk designated areas to inspect and support landfill gas wells, environmental systems, and hot spots.
Assist with maintenance of stormwater, landfill gas, and leachate management systems.
Complete general site cleanup and housekeeping tasks.
Direct incoming and outgoing traffic to maintain safe site flow.
Operate small equipment as assigned.
Communicate professionally with customers, drivers, and team members.
