About The Position

ROLE OVERVIEW: Provides hands on sorting and preparation support for producing accurate quality and quantity of recycled paper stock for mill customers.

Requirements

• Ability to show up for all scheduled shifts
• Reliable Transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk/bend/ lift continuously and perform physical tasks
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Ability to work independently or in a group.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others into daily activities.
• Attends required safety training and participates in emergency drills and exercises.
• Reports all safety and quality problems to the Production leads or Production Manager.
• Sort materials, such as paper or plastics, into appropriate piles for further processing.
• Remove all foreign materials, such as metals, wood, and plastics, depositing materials into collection bins
• Stack and band pallets and Gaylords per requirements of facility
• May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
