About The Position
Responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining the yard and all surrounding facilities. Assisting production and production technicians to ensure completion of daily operations. The company is a family owned and operated automotive recycling company based out of Webster NY since 1952, serving the community with premium recycled automotive parts. They are looking to add outgoing, honest, and respectful individuals to their growing family. Previous experience is a benefit but not required, as new members will be provided with proper training and equipment. The company prides itself on teamwork, customer service, positivity, and a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.
- Must be able to work outside in the elements.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and talk or hear.
- Primarily on their feet for long periods of time.
- Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. For heavier merchandise lifting devices and/or assistance is required.

Responsibilities
- Perform quality maintenance of yard and recycling building.
- Clear debris and trash from the yard and processing area for customers and equipment.
- Process tire and wheel assemblies including dismounting, pricing, and sorting.
- Sort materials recovered during the vehicle recycling process into appropriate containers for recycling.
- Clean and prep vehicles for the processing department.
- Set and/or remove vehicle inventory from the yard.
- Prep cores for finalization and shipment after items have been removed from vehicles.
- Test, charge and recycle processed vehicle batteries.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
