About The Position

The General Laborer ensures that plant equipment and surrounding areas are kept clean, sanitary, and safe. General Laborers work wherever needed to help the plant operate efficiently, performing duties in a manner consistent with safety, quality, and production goals. The position assists the Wet End Team with each product line and the Distribution Team with palletizing, as well as supporting shutdowns, startups, and cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successfully complete the Job Skill Evaluation.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and calculate percentages to make proper adjustments as required.
• Maintain an acceptable safety record.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices, including Standard Operating Procedures and company policies, to prevent injury to self and others.
• Recognize that food safety is everyone’s responsibility.
• Attend and participate in position-related training, and apply acquired skills and knowledge.
• Sanitize equipment and maintain housekeeping throughout the facility.
• Work as a team player to help meet operational goals.
• Perform other duties reasonably assigned by the Manager.
• Assist the Wet End Team with each product line.
• Assist the Distribution Team with palletizing.
• Assist with shutdowns, startups, and cleaning tasks.
