Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned. Ensure that work areas are clean, safe, and ready for construction activities. By removing debris, hazards, and obstacles to create a suitable environment. Handle tools, raw materials, and equipment. Load and unload items as needed for construction tasks. Digging, Compacting Earth, and Backfilling Holes by performing manual labor, including digging trenches, filling pits, compact soil and backfill excavated areas. Operate construction off road vehicles Follow safety protocols while using equipment. Laborers take direction from supervisors and follow construction plans. Assist heavy equipment operator and other skilled workers. Assists in creating a positive and safe work environment. Complete assigned training in a timely fashion. Be coachable and learn from team members. Complete assigned training in a timely fashion.

Requirements

Willingness to learn from more experienced craft to become more proficient and knowledgeable.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license a plus
Demonstrate the ability to finish tasks safely, accurately, and promptly.
Knowledge of standard hand and power tools and how to use them safely and correctly.
Basic construction experience.
Ability to solve problems.
Basic carpentry skills.
Able to relay and receive information from field management needed for the current project/task.
Strong work ethic.
Good attitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrate the ability to stay on task efficiently, safely, and flexibly.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results.
If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
