Seasonal General Laborer
About The Position
In this position, you will perform general labor duties that include areas of mowing, cleaning, and painting as needed. Green Plains Inc. is a leading biorefining company focused on the development and utilization of fermentation, agricultural, and biological technologies in the processing of annually renewable crops into sustainable value-added ingredients. This includes the production of cleaner low-carbon biofuels, renewable feedstocks for advanced biofuels, and high-purity alcohols for use in cleaners and disinfectants. Green Plains is an innovative producer of Ultra-High Protein and novel ingredients for animal and aquaculture diets to help satisfy a growing global appetite for sustainable protein.
Requirements
- Ability to work well with others and ability to work independently
- Must be at least 18 years old due to nature of position
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be able to manage confined space entry, climb ladders and steps, lift up to 60 lbs. and work at heights
- Must be able to work in and around conditions that may be dusty, contain high noise levels and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check prior to employment
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and labeling equipment
- Painting various walls and buildings as needed
- Housekeeping included but not limited to the cleanliness and orderly organization of all areas
- Keeping the plant in a tour ready condition at all times
- Other duties as assigned by management
