About The Position
Assists in general tasks to support the needs of producing and packaging products according to company and governmental standards. This position will perform tasks that may include but are not limited to: packing product, stacking and unstacking product to meet customers’ orders, sorting finished goods, documenting damaged goods, verifying packaging code and UPC to match planned product, general cleaning and sanitation of facility and surrounding grounds, and other tasks as assigned by management. Participates as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness and accepting responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues. Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies) and understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Standing on feet for the entire shift.
- Must be able to work in extreme hot/cold, wet/dry environments.
- Steel toed shoes

- Safety Vest and hard hat where required
