About The Position

We are seeking dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused General Laborers to support loading and unloading, material handling, and general construction operations across projects in Sanford and Charlotte, North Carolina; Virginia; and South Carolina. The role supports large-scale construction work in fast-paced industrial and construction environments. Multiple full-time openings are available, with pay of $17–$21 per hour. Per diem may be available, subject to project assignment and eligibility.

Requirements

Previous general labor, warehouse, material handling, industrial, or construction experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Ability to safely handle construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to the assigned jobsite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
Ability to maintain productivity in fast-paced work environments.
Must meet project-specific employment, safety, and site-access requirements.

Experience loading and unloading construction materials or equipment.
Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices and material-handling procedures.

Responsibilities

Load and unload construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies from trucks, trailers, and designated delivery areas.
Transport, move, stack, and organize materials throughout the jobsite as directed.
Assist with receiving deliveries and verifying materials against shipping documents or instructions.
Safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials using proper handling techniques.
Organize, stage, and distribute materials to designated work areas.
Support construction crews with general labor tasks and daily project operations.
Use basic hand tools, material-handling equipment, and other approved jobsite equipment safely and effectively.
Inspect materials for visible damage and report discrepancies or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized loading areas, storage spaces, and work zones.
Assist with jobsite cleanup, debris removal, and construction-waste disposal.
Follow jobsite safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
Follow supervisors’ instructions and coordinate with team members to complete assigned tasks.
Handle materials and equipment carefully to prevent damage or workplace injuries.
Perform additional general labor and construction-related duties as assigned.
