About The Position
KTA-Tator, Inc. (KTA) is seeking a motivated, inquisitive, and mechanically inclined General Laborer to support their Coatings Laboratory. This is a full-time position located at KTA’s Future Labs office in Madison, MS. KTA is a 100% employee-owned materials engineering firm, recognized as a leader in corrosion protection and asset integrity, offering services such as coatings failure analysis, forensic laboratory investigations, and independent laboratory testing of coatings performance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, type, speak, hear, lift up to 40 or more pounds safely, and wear a respirator.
- Close, color, depth, distance, and peripheral vision with the ability to adjust focus.
- Manual dexterity to manipulate small objects and instruments.
Nice To Haves
- Prior related experience will be considered in lieu of a diploma/GED
Responsibilities
- Assisting with preparation of laboratory samples including coating application.
- Performing standard coating tests.
- Taking ownership of the laboratory, including housekeeping, safety, inventory, and maintenance of equipment.
- Compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Being an active, engaged employee-owner always looking for process improvement opportunities.
