About The Position

The General Laborer plays an important role in ensuring that the operations of the coop’s facility are effective and efficient so products and services can be provided in a manner that adds value to the member. This position is an Agronomy Team Member and reports to the Agronomy Location Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • 1 year working with heavy equipment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of agricultural cooperative or agricultural experience
  • 1 year of Agronomy experience
  • Commercial driver’s license (Class A) or ability to obtain commercial driver’s license within 30 days
  • HAZMAT, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements or ability to obtain within 30 days

Responsibilities

  • Operates equipment designed for the handling of bulk fertilizer, seed and chemical (i.e. forklift, payloader, bobcat, etc.).
  • Performs operational duties in all areas of the premises including, but not limited to: regular organizing and upkeep of warehouse facilities and minor repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Works with others in areas outside of their department and assists when needed.
  • Consistently demonstrates trust, integrity, and respect in all dealings.
  • Acts as a Legacy Brand Ambassador in every interaction with our members and the communities we serve.
  • Communicates with others to ensure everyone is working together to best serve our membership.
  • Demonstrates adaptability to change and navigates uncertainty.
  • Collaborates with others to elevate results.
  • Shows appreciation for team members and members.
  • Speaks up – shares ideas, addresses issues, acknowledges positive actions, and speaks up if behavior is not aligned with the Legacy “way”.
  • Handles bulk fertilizer, seed, and chemical.
