About The Position

Under direct supervision, these positions will be responsible for providing general labor for routine duties as well as assist with projects. Temporary Employees are not eligible for benefits and cannot exceed one thousand (1,000) hours worked in a calendar year.

Requirements

• Knowledge of standard safety procedures and practices.
• Ability to learn and adapt to Department rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Ability to operate equipment relevant to area of assignment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
• Basic computer skills to maintain a timesheet.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment drug testing.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment law enforcement background investigation, including DMV records.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with grass mowing and/or run a weedeater.
• Plant flowers and maintain flower beds.
• Assist with painting.
• Assist with general maintenance and repairs of buildings.
• Wash exterior and clean interior of vehicles; clean equipment or facilities as needed.
