General Laborer / Quality Control Inspector

About The Position

The General Laborer/ QC Inspector performs laboring tasks required at varying work areas, i.e. saw/grind operations, and operations using considerable physical effort in moving and lifting materials. This position is fully onsite. Pay rate: $21 per hour

Requirements

  • 1+ years of previous general labor experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections: Conduct visual, dimensional, or functional checks on materials, products, or processes.
  • Document and report: Log defects, maintain QC checklists, and generate non-conformance reports.
  • Enforce standards: Ensure daily operations comply with company safety and quality frameworks (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, GMP).
  • Implement root-cause analysis: Investigate quality issues and suggest corrective or preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Cleans-up, handles material and other fill-in assignments.
  • Assists in varying equipment operations or activities as well as handles any replenishments of materials as needed.
  • Moves products and/or materials for production use by lifting, pulling and or/pushing carts.
  • Assists others in house-keeping of work areas.
  • Assesses assembly diagrams to lay out work for products.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
