About The Position

TemperPack is a growing company that designs and manufactures innovative sustainable packaging solutions for cold chain shipping across various industries. We are looking for a General Laborer/Operator for our 3rd shift in Lansing, Michigan. This role is responsible for running production, following safety procedures, and contributing to continuous process improvement. Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Be on your feet for 10-12 hours a day.
Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts.
Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a production environment.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Running production and following safety rules/procedures.
Keeping up with the flow of production and minimizing downtime.
Using band saws, rip saws, baler, and plussing machine.
Building boxes with the use of a tape gun and staple gun.
Assisting with inventory at the end of the month.
Ensuring area safety and housekeeping.
Contributing to continuous process improvement to produce safe and quality products that meet specifications.
