About The Position

The General Laborer/ Non Ferrous Warehouse position involves sorting scrap materials on a picking line to upgrade materials and remove nonconforming items from the production process. The role is suited to a self-motivated team player who is willing to learn new skills and contribute positively to the team’s success. The work requires adherence to safety procedures, effective communication with NF Warehouse personnel, inspection of inbound loads, and the ability to work in varied weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Requirements

• Understand and adhere to safety regulations.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to stand and work for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively on a regular basis.
• Be a self-motivated team player willing to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort scrap to upgrade materials and remove nonconforming items.
• Troubleshoot proactively and adapt to changing needs.
• Strictly adhere to safety rules and procedures.
• Qualify for and train on skid steer and forklift operation.
• Qualify as a retail buyer and inspector.
• Communicate effectively with NF Warehouse personnel.
• Inspect all inbound loads.
• Provide customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
