About The Position

The General Laborer I works under direct supervision in operations and is responsible for loading and unloading materials, parts, and products at the yard or customers’ work sites. The position involves physical labor in varied weather and ground conditions, including rain, snow, mud, heat, and cold. The work is typically routine and may include special projects as assigned. The role requires following safety and quality procedures, working effectively in a team, and being available for a flexible schedule and on-call work.

Requirements

• No degree required.
• No experience required.
• Ability to perform physical labor in a wide range of weather and ground conditions.
• Ability to adhere to safety and quality procedures and applicable regulations.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays, and to be on call.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and timeliness.

Nice To Haves

• One year of manufacturing, warehouse, or construction experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials, parts, or products manually or by mechanized means.
• Install ground protection and lay mats at customer sites.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Follow safety and quality procedures, including applicable OSHA, EPA, DEQ, and DOT rules and regulations, as well as NPK policies and procedures.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and timeliness; work a flexible schedule and be available on call.
