About The Position

Conagra Brands is hiring for a General Labor Fresh Pack position to help produce Birds Eye products at their Darien, WI manufacturing facility. This role involves learning and following production schedules, assembling cases, monitoring automated filling processes, selecting acceptable units for casing, and discarding unacceptable ones. The position also requires reporting deviations, ensuring cases enter the sealer correctly, visually inspecting products, stopping production for serious issues, maintaining housekeeping, and assisting with production line operations. The company is known for iconic brands such as Reddi-wip, Slim Jim, and Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP.

Responsibilities

Develop a working knowledge of production schedules and follow schedule instructions.
Form and assemble cases to meet production requirements/specifications.
Monitor auto-filled bags or trays for required fill weight, back seal, end seal, label placement, date code, and label accuracy.
Select acceptable bags/units for hand casing accurately for case count, orientation, and placement.
Discard unacceptable bags/units to be reworked.
Report deviations from product requirements to operators or supervisors.
Ensure cases enter the case sealer correctly.
Visually inspect products and ingredients for blemishes or other flaws, extraneous vegetable material, or discolored units.
Stop production to report any serious deviation from requirements/specifications or malfunction of line equipment.
Maintain area housekeeping.
Assist operators with start-up, production, change over, and shut down of production.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
