About The Position

This position backs up transfer machines continuously. It involves taking birds that were not hung and have dropped onto the belt and hanging them into eviscerating shackles. Birds that were improperly hung by one leg are manually hung by both legs. One-legged birds are removed from the table or shackle and placed onto a rack for manual evisceration by floor help. The role also involves adjusting picking line speed to prevent pile-up on the belt while ensuring the speed is sufficient to keep eviscerating lines full. The position operates a light system that communicates with live hangers.

Requirements

Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must provide government identification number (SSN) to verify previous Tyson employment history.
Must have completed 90 days since the last termination date (for re-hires).
If terminated 3x times or more, not eligible at this location (for re-hires).

Responsibilities

Back up transfer machines.
Hang birds into empty shackles, ensuring birds are hung by two legs.
Take one-legged birds off the line and place them onto a rack.
Adjust picking line speed to prevent pile-up on the belt while ensuring speed is sufficient to keep eviscerating lines full.
Operate light system that communicates with live hangers.
