About The Position

This position involves backing up transfer machines and ensuring birds are properly hung in eviscerating shackles. The role requires taking birds that have dropped onto the belt and hanging them, as well as correcting improperly hung birds by manually hanging them by both legs. Additionally, the position involves removing one-legged birds from the table or shackle and placing them on a rack for manual evisceration. The job also includes operating a light system to communicate with live hangers and adjusting picking line speed to maintain a steady flow of birds for the eviscerating lines. Responsibilities

Hang birds into empty shackles, ensuring birds are hung by two legs.
Take one-legged birds off the line and place them onto a rack.
Hang birds that were not hung and have dropped onto the belt into eviscerating shackles.
Manually hang improperly hung birds by both legs.
Remove one-legged birds from the table or shackle and place them onto a rack for manual evisceration.
Adjust picking line speed to prevent pile-up on the belt while ensuring sufficient speed to keep eviscerating lines full.
Operate a light system that communicates with live hangers.
