About The Position

The General Laborer is responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning, material handling, and general labor tasks within the Production and Entrée Departments. This role supports efficient production operations by learning line flow, assisting with product setup, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Work may occur across multiple shifts based on operational needs.

Nice To Haves

  • 0–1 year of experience in an industrial food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of safety and food handling practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Stacks boxes of finished products onto pallets and applies shrink wrap for safe storage and transport.
  • Inspects finished products to ensure proper labeling, quality standards, and compliance with company specifications.
  • Packs finished products into boxes or totes; inspects pallets, boxes, and totes for defects; places poly liners in totes; verifies product weights; and prepares items for storage, including stacking and shrink wrapping.
  • Learns and supports the setup and line flow of various products within the Production Department.
  • Cleans and sanitizes machinery and equipment as required.
  • Maintains clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  • Completes required checks, documentation, and production paperwork accurately and legibly throughout the shift.
  • Follows all food safety, legality, and quality policies and procedures, including but not limited to GMPs, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, and plant security requirements.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Immediately reports any safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to the Production Supervisor and/or Lead.
  • Maintains plant hygiene standards to ensure the highest level of product integrity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Lead.
