About The Position

Assists in the finishing of door slabs to prepare them for painting. This role involves sanding and fixing imperfections of product to achieve the best paint finish, maintaining shop and paint equipment, preparing product for painters, painting and staining product, monitoring workload and work orders, and ensuring timely paint ordering. The position also requires strict adherence to all safety rules, including the use of safety glasses, ear plugs, and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.

Requirements

Must be able to read and write so that written instructions can be easily followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Need to pay very close attention to detail.
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to operate automated production line machinery.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

Vocational school and auto body paint experience a plus.
Experience in millwork and finish work is a plus.
Spray equipment and knowledge of painting in a production line environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Sanding and fixing imperfections of product to get the best paint finish.

Paint and stain the product.
Monitor the workload and work orders for the day.
Ensure the paint is ordered in a timely manner.
