Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching, flexing, and extending arms.
Ability to stand for up to a 12-hour shift on concrete and/or platforms.
Ability to work around animal blood and/or carcass parts.
Ability to work with a knife (if trained).
Ability to work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees).
Ability to work in a wet and humid environment.
Ability to wear a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
Ability to work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals.
Ability to work around strong smells/odors.
Ability to climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift.
Ability to walk long distances.
May require certification to operate various pieces of equipment.
May require repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs.
May require single lifting of heavy objects up to 60 lbs.
May require lifting of objects using mechanical assistance.

Responsibilities

Perform essential production tasks using hand tools, knives, and machinery to process meat products.
Support coworkers and contribute to a positive work environment.
Maintain a safe and efficient production line.
Ensure products meet standards for safety, quality, and teamwork.
Perform other duties as assigned.

$1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift
