About The Position

This role is responsible for producing continuous quality parts, ensuring all quality procedures are followed, and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001. The position involves operating machines and equipment, installing various parts, and utilizing hand tools safely and efficiently. The General Laborer will also be responsible for maintaining a clean work area, reporting any concerns, and using company systems for production reporting. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and prior experience in industrial manufacturing. Strong problem-solving, verbal, written, math, and computer skills are essential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in industrial manufacturing
• Offer highest level of innovation and problem-solving skills to influence overall efficiency, improvements in productivity, outcomes, etc.
• Use verbal skills to transfer information to operators, maintenance, and management
• Complete reports such as production, quality, and inventory legibly
• Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios
• Internal manufacturing systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, kneel/stoop, and walk for the duration of the shift
• Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination
• Vision: 20/20 corrected; and normal hearing range
• Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment – cold in winter months and hot in the summer months
• Boots: steel or composite toed
• Safety Glasses
• Gloves: latex, work gloves, etc.
• Hearing Protection
• Sleeves: cut resistant
• Properly fitted clothing
• Hard Hat (in designated areas)

Responsibilities

• Follow all Plant Safety Rules and Regulations
• Utilize proper PPE at all times
• Produce continuous quality parts and ensure all quality procedures are followed
• Complete Manufacturing/Quality documents
• Communicate with internally concerning deviations or general requests
• Assist in 6s and lean manufacturing practices
• Verify compliance to local, state, and federal regulations
• Complete reports as necessary internally
• Independently operate machines, equipment, and produce production parts to required tolerances
• Read and comprehend customer specification sheets; anticipate the next order and stage supplies/products as needed
• Installation of: Plugs, Capseals, Rings, Other parts or materials as specified
• Utilize various hand tools, including but not limited to air guns, plug wrenches, capseal tools in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining appropriate speed with production flow
• Demonstrate acceptable level of capabilities in all areas of the Plant during General Labor Rotation
• Report any conditions of concern regarding products, materials, or safety immediately to Production Manager, SHEQ, or Plant Manager
• Utilize Company systems for reporting production, scrap, inventory, etc.
• Follow direction and product required quantities
• Maintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe condition
• Attend all required meetings and trainings
• Perform all other duties as required or requested
