About The Position

This role involves performing various general labor tasks within a manufacturing environment. The primary focus is on adhering to safety regulations, maintaining equipment and facilities, and assisting with installations and repairs. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and offers full-time, permanent employment.

Requirements

Good written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work at high speeds and multitask.
Dependable and flexible to work 8-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
Able to work with little supervision.
Able to work at heights including use of steps and ladders.
High School diploma or GED required.
Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat and stand for extended periods of time while performing job duties (up to 12 hours a day).
Ability to push, pull, bend, climb steps and ladders, walk, and lift on a continuous basis (up to 12 hours a day).
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level on an occasional basis.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety regulations and directives.
Keep forklift clean and report any needed service requirements.
Maintain hazardous materials room by monitoring waste solvent drum levels, notifying the Maintenance Leadperson as the drum approaches full, checking and filling oil bar dispensing drums as needed, cleaning the floor of oil, rags, and debris, and mopping as needed to maintain cleanliness.
Maintain air compressor/fluid cooler area by keeping the equipment and floor clean of oil and debris, checking for air, water, or oil leaks, and notifying the Maintenance Department of any detected issues.
Assist in the installation, leveling, aligning, assembling, transporting, erecting, dismantling, loading, and/or unloading of various machines, building structures, and equipment.
Safely operate maintenance hand tools and basic power tools.
Assist in performing routine bench work and maintenance duties such as rebuilding regulators.
Assist in performing miscellaneous piping work.
Learn proper procedures regarding requisitions, receives, and preventative maintenance work orders.
Maintain outside grounds in an acceptable fashion, including grass cutting, trimming, raking, pruning, weed, and trash removal.
Perform snow and ice removal.
Perform painting tasks as assigned.
Perform pallet repair and control pallet return programs.
Maintain a clean work area and perform other cleaning duties as assigned by Management.
Assist in training other employees and Management Trainees as required.
Attend training sessions as required.
Exercise proper care and protection of company property.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
