About The Position

The General Laborer is the front-line employee who performs the manufacturing processes that add value and create high-quality products. This role is at a Dairy Foods manufacturing facility for Land O’Lakes, creating dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness. We believe there’s power in every drop of milk our farmers produce, and by improving production and finding innovative uses for that milk, we add a little good to people’s lives.

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• 6+ months of manufacturing experience
• Forklift Experience and/or Certification
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and possess basic mathematical skills

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED
• Self-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision
• Able to trouble shoot mechanical problems
• Customer focused and able to work in a collaborative team
• Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule
• Knowledge of various pieces of high-tech manufacturing processing and packaging equipment. Examples include but not limited to baggers, palletizers and cookers.

Responsibilities

• Performs manufacturing processes that add value and create high-quality products.
• Train on General Labor and rated positions.
• Be paid the rate of the job when training/performing rated positions.
• Ensures a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks.
• Communicates work order progress to supervisor and production operators.
