About The Position

This entry-level, non-skilled general labor position supports operations at Tyson’s Sherman Case Ready Distribution facility. Applicants may be considered for openings in any department, including beef, pork, and ground beef. The work is fast-paced and involves repetitive motion. Some roles require lifting and pulling up to 40 pounds; material handling and receiving positions require lifting 70 pounds or more. Work takes place in a cold, damp environment with temperatures ranging from 38 to 42 degrees, and requires standing for 8 to 12 hours per day. Employees must be willing to work with knives if required and wear all required safety equipment. The position is on B Shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The facility operates six days per week, Monday through Saturday, with Sundays as needed. Employees must be willing to work overtime and weekends if required. Job offers are contingent on proof of U.S. work authorization and passing a urinalysis screening as part of a post-offer health assessment. Some roles may require a background check. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
