General Labor Operator 1st Shift
About The Position
TemperPack is a company that designs and manufactures innovative sustainable packaging solutions for cold chain shipping across various industries, including food and beverage, life sciences, pet and vet, and wine, as well as protective packaging for all industries. Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Able to be on your feet for 10-12 hours a day.
- Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
- Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts.
- Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis.
- This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice To Haves
- Willingness to use band saws, rip saws, baler, and plussing machine.
- Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Running production and following safety rules/procedures.
- Keeping up with the flow of production and minimizing downtime.
- Building boxes using a tape gun and staple gun.
- Assisting with inventory at the end of the month.
- Ensuring area safety and housekeeping.
- Committing to continuous process improvement to produce safe and quality products that meet specifications.
