About The Position

Interstate Brick is a premier commercial brick manufacturer established in 1891 and part of Pacific Coast Building Products since 1990. Their products are used in residential and commercial construction and are specified by architects and builders nationwide. This position is responsible for operating dry pan, grinding dirt, performing general maintenance on pans, and greasing pans. The role also supports the company's Core Values and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

On-the-job training to perform duties.
Ability to obtain forklift certification by Interstate Brick.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers, customers and superiors.
Basic reading, writing and math skills.
Ability to follow simple instructions.
Predictable and regular attendance is required.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate dry pan – grind dirt.
Perform general maintenance on pans.
Operate forklift and skid steer.
Grease pans.
Maintain belts, clean rollers, change rollers.
Check and change screen as needed.
Check colors - check fine dirt for rocks.
Check and maintain hoppers, chutes.
Communicate with forklift operators and other plant personnel via desk phone regarding clay changes.
Lockout tagout all machines.
Maintain work area according to company specifications for cleanliness and safety.
Attend safety meetings and abide by all safety rules.
Report and correct hazardous conditions.
Predictable and regular attendance is required.
Work overtime and weekends as needed.
