About The Position

The Lexington County Blowfish are seeking college students who live in the Midlands of South Carolina or attend a local college or university for their fall internship program. This internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in every area of the organization, including ticket sales, event assistance, and front desk coverage. Interns will also learn about sponsorship sales, marketing, food and beverage, and stadium operations. The program is designed to provide training in each area to help interns develop skills for their sports careers. The Blowfish are a summer collegiate baseball team affiliated with the Coastal Plain League, known for community engagement and family-friendly fun.

Requirements

College students who live in the Midlands of South Carolina or attend a local college or university.
Routinely travel to Lexington County Baseball Stadium.
Must be able to receive course credit from their college or university for the fall internship.

Responsibilities

Gain valuable experience in every area of the organization.
Work in ticket sales.
Assist with events at the ballpark.
Cover the front desk when scheduled.
Learn sponsorship sales, ticket sales, merchandise, marketing, food and beverage, and stadium operations.
Gain experience in Tickets (Box Office Operations and Sales).
Gain experience in Marketing (Social Media and Promotions).
Gain experience in Customer Service (Phone Calls and In-Person).
Gain experience in Food and Beverage (Inventory, Event Operations, Banquet Operations).
Gain experience in Merchandise (Team Store and Inventory).
Gain experience in Media Relations (Website Management and Press Releases).
Gain experience in Stadium Operations (Field Maintenance, Stadium Upkeep and Clubhouse Management).
