About The Position

NEON is accepting applications for its Spring 2027 internship program in New York and Los Angeles. This program offers students hands-on experience in the independent film industry, focusing on distribution aspects like marketing, publicity, sales, acquisitions, and digital distribution. Interns will work on real projects, build meaningful connections, and receive mentorship from industry professionals. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Genuine passion for film and entertainment; follow the industry, know the titles, and have opinions.
  • Curiosity and initiative; ask good questions, pick things up quickly, and don't wait to be told what to do.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to think analytically.
  • Excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel.
  • A collaborative, low-ego mindset; work well with others and make the team better.
  • Cultural fluency; plugged into what's happening in film, media, and the broader cultural conversation.
  • Comfort with social media platforms and familiarity with the creator landscape.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize information quickly.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Must be available to work in person 3 days per week for the duration of the internship.

  • Prior internship or work experience in film or entertainment is a plus.

Responsibilities
