General Highway Laborer

About The Position
DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is looking for a responsible, motivated, and skilled General Highway Laborer with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. This individual will be responsible for performing various highway maintenance tasks, including traffic control set-ups, cleaning, and tree/brush removal.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- 18+ years of age or older
- Must have a valid drivers license
- 5 years clean MVR (motor vehicle record)
- OSHA 10 and up-to-date medical card required
- ATSSA Traffic Control Certification (can be provided by the company if not already certified).
- Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Comfortable and capable of working from various heights.
- Experience with landscaping and weed whacking is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of highway maintenance tasks, such as bridge cleaning, tree cutting, and vegetation removal.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment.
- Set up and take down temporary traffic control systems daily.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Operate company vehicles as required.
- Use all equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner.
