About The Position

The Group, composed of more than 800 employees, operates renewable assets with an installed capacity of over 3 GW and is developing a project portfolio of 6.8 GW in wind, solar, and energy storage. This is a permanent part-time position (approximately 25 hours per week). As a Hydro Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of hydroelectric generator systems. With the mentorship of an experienced Hydro Operator, your main tasks will be: Practice safe work habits and follow correct safety policies and procedures; Ensure that company personnel, contractors, and consultants are following company approved safety policies, procedures, and that company property is protected by performing the applicable duties; Perform station and unit operations as required; Identify and repair as necessary, station hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems including analytical problem solving/troubleshooting.

Requirements

Experience with repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems and related equipment is preferred as follows: Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulics, PLC troubleshooting and programming
High voltage transmission and distribution training and experience
Working knowledge of the OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E and Arc Flash requirements
Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic drawings and schematics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Flexibility to add skills and work in a multi-disciplinary environment
Be able and willing to perform physical labor as needed
Knowledge of windows based software including Outlook, Excel, Word
Valid driver’s license with clean record required
