About The Position

The General Helper / Utility employee supports plant operations by performing a variety of entry-level tasks across production, material handling, and housekeeping. This role is essential to maintaining workflow efficiency, equipment readiness, and a safe, organized work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Basic math and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around industrial equipment

Responsibilities

Assist operators and production staff with setup, operation, and cleanup of machinery
Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products within the facility
Perform general labor tasks such as stacking, sorting, labeling, and packaging materials
Maintain cleanliness of machines, work areas, and production floor (sweeping, removing waste, etc.)
Support preventative maintenance activities and basic equipment care
Follow instructions from supervisors to support different departments as needed
Monitor materials and alert operators/supervisors of shortages or issues
Adhere to all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Help reduce downtime by keeping work areas organized and stocked
Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals
