About The Position
Entry-level position in the Forge Department. This job classification can promote to Forge Machine Operator, Metal Parts Finisher, Production Saw Operator, or other machine operator positions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds throughout the shift.
- Ability to read production instructions in English.
- Must be able to stand up to three hours at a time and during an 8-10 hours shift.
- Must be able to sit, bend, twist, stoop, reach overhead.
- Uses hands to grind metal parts.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a heated environment.
Responsibilities
- Count parts
- Clean work area
- Grind metal parts
- Load/unload sand blaster
- Operate furnace (load/unload)
- Other duties as assigned
