About The Position

This role involves supporting all applicable GMPs, Site Security, and Food Packaging Defense requirements within the facility's GFSI food packaging safety program. The position requires the setup and operation of various machines, running material through machines according to company specifications, and inspecting and maintaining the quality of the product. The Utility worker must also detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and follow safety regulations. Ensuring correct materials are used to meet customer specifications, maintaining accurate inventory entries, and meeting all quality and efficiency standards are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the position requires adherence to all company safety policies and reporting any concerns related to machine maintenance.

Requirements

Must be able to work as a part of a team, and independently.
Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base profile for this position.
Must meet the company quality and performance standards for the job as specified.
Must agree to wear the proper assigned PPE and shoes approved for this job as specified in Contact and Safety Requirements.

Nice To Haves

Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting and Machine Operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Comply and support all applicable GMPs, Site Security, and Food Packaging Defense requirements.
Set up and operation of various machines.
Run material through machine according to company specifications.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintain the work area, keep equipment in clean and orderly condition, and follow prescribed safety regulations.
Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications.
Ensure all inventory entries are complete and accurate.
Inspect and maintain quality of product.
Meet all quality and efficiency standards.
Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines.
Test operation of machines periodically.
Other duties as assigned by any member of management.
